Lego

Lego has always been a part of my life, and for some reason my passion for it never stopped. And a couple of years ago, not only as an enjoyer, but partly as a maker, I started designing my own sets. Especially ones that the Official Lego group didn’t want to release for some reason. With great enthusiasm and passion, I design almost anything I enjoy, (technic is not on the site) I hope to come up with a successful ideas set in the future.

The 1:1 Lego model of the Flachauerhof in Flachau, Austria, was made to order by the owner of the hotel. The model consists of 1946 elements and is a faithful reproduction of the hotel, interior not built, but the hotel has some parking cars and a Pistonbully. It took about 1 week to design and a long afternoon to build.

The model of the Bratlalm, a popular restaurant in Wenigzell, also in Austria, was custom-made.

I even had the help of a drone to observe the building, so that I could recreate it even more accurately. The model is made of 1667 elements and uses exactly one 32×32 element as a base. The set was exhibited in the restaurant

The other day I was browsing a site called Aliexpress and I noticed something interesting.

A lego model that I had designed myself was being sold by several sellers in China. I never imagined that one day a piece of my work would end up on Aliexpress. Although I am somewhat honoured that at 19 I got to the point where they started producing my own product in China. At least they could have given me a some credit….

The Lew MXA is probably of interest only to Hungarians, as it is one of Budapest’s most iconic public transport vehicles. I built the model as an exact copy of the real one, which is why it cannot be built in reality, it only exists virtually, because some elements are not available in the desired color. In any case, it was fun to build it and play with the idea of what a Lego Hév (suburban railway line) would look like.
