COSPLAY

I’ve loved carnivals and every other event where I could dress up in a costume, since I was a kid. While studying at Waldorf School, we had to learn to sew in the eighth. And that was the reason, to make my first costume. The enthusiasm has been unbroken ever since, and I continue to line up costumes from all over the geek world.

Some of my costumes so far

One of my first designs was this World War I K.u.K. costume from Battlefield 1. Partly made using old, original accessories, partly made by me. It wasn’t easy to figure out how to make the uniform look as close to the original as possible, but I think I did it. Although the cat wasn’t entirely happy with it.

Blitz gsg9 German CT costume from the game Rainbow 6 Siege. Its special feature is that the shield works exactly like in the game and actually blinds the opponent. I also made the different armour elements, it wasn’t easy but I’m happy with the result.

This costume is Alphonse Elric from the Full metal alchemist anime. As the entire outfit is made of EVA foam, it is comfortable to wear, the only drawback is that it is very warm. Highly recommended for winter activities.

This is the character Montagne, from the game Rainbow 6 Siege. The sewn costume is made with a stitching that is true to the character. The preparation and design took a lot of time, almost more than the sewing. I breathed a sigh of relief by the time all the details of the vest were done. The shield works just like in the game, it can be opened and closed. Even suitable for airsoft matches

For this costume, I concentrated on the painting and the weathering, rather than the sewing. The Airsoft armour is finished with Boba Fett paint, the character is given by the detailing.

One of my favourite characters is Blackbeard from Rainbow 6 Siege. Although I didn’t leave much room for my own work and creativity, I think I managed to copy the character well. The entire costume, from the smallest pocket to the weapons to the patches, is 1:1 with what you see in the game.

Sometimes you need this kind of work too 🙂
